- January Strange start to the year. Following a restructure Richard's role within ITNET was made redundant and he left the company at the end of the month.
- February Richard went to the Isle of Mull, staying in The Craignure Inn. The trip also took in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

- March Richard went to Bury to take delivery of our new family member - a Peugeot 307 SW. The vehicle was, of course, purchased via www.eltonfleet.co.uk .

- April Richard started a new permanent job with the National Landlords' Association
- April Steven attended the Queen's Scout parade and march past at Windsor Castle.
Also see www.4wp.org.uk for more details.
- May We took the major step of purchasing a 1/12th share of a narrowboat. 'Rufford' is to be built in the second half of the year and is due to enter service at the end of 2004. See www.rufford.org.uk for further details.

- June Andrew joined a new band 'Sol Paradise' based in Hull. They have started writing songs and practicing. Watch this space for further details!
- June Wyn, Richard and David took a short trip to Venice.
- June David's first concert playing Saxophone with the Ewell Castle Concert Band at the school's summer fair. Later in the day Wyn, Richard and David went to see Fairport Convention in concert at the Bluebell Railway in Sussex. After the concert we chatted with the members of the band and David collected autographs. This was the first professional concert David had been to.
- June David played Saxophone at the Epsom Playhouse theatre with the Ewell Castle Big Band. The Gala Charity Concert was a fund raising event in aid of the Shooting Star Trust which exists to help children not expected to live beyond early adulthood. Programme: cover centre artist notes Sutton Post
- July David took part in the Ewell Castle School production of Treasure Island. Playing the overlapping roles of Tom Redruth and Ben Gunn resulted in some quick changing. There wasn't a dry eye in the second row as Redruth expired after being shot by the baddies. David's portrayal of mad Ben Gunn was particularly appreciated by the audience and there are various views as to where he got the inspiration for the madman! Programme: cover cast
- July Wyn, Richard and David headed off for a summer holiday in Paziols, France. We had never heard of Paziols before but a set of circumstances left us with no holiday booked, an offer of some accommodation and some cheap air fares to Toulouse. A perfect location for a quiet holiday, surrounded by wonderful countryside and the vines used to produce Fitou red wines and the naturally sweet Rivesaltes Maccabeo and Muscat wines. A cycle ride, swim in the river then a stop at a village cave to pick up some wine on the way home - what could be better?
- August/September A lack of photos due to my two-year old Pentax camera breaking down followed by a long and expensive process of getting it fixed. Time for mandatory 5-year product warranties!
- September Wyn paid a short visit to Whitehead, Northern Ireland.
- November David played Alto Sax in a charity concert at Stoneleigh Baptist Church.
- December David played Alto Sax in the Ewell Castle lower school recital.
- December Despite a power cut David was able to play Alto Sax (by candle and torch light!) at the Senior Residents Party organised by the 4th Worcester Park Scout Group.
