- January. Richard spent an interesting four days on a work related course in Rugby
- February. Went to see the third Dick Barton play at the Warehouse Theatre, Croydon. Recommended.
- February. Wyn and David flew from London City to Edinburgh for a weekend in Dunkeld.
- February. Richard back at Rugby for the second half of his course.
- March Wyn and Andrew went to Megeve in France, via Geneva, to try skiing for the first time. return was via Geneva and Zurich.
- March Richard and David went by train to Southampton for the day. Visited the Hall of Aviation, where we were able to board a Sandringham Flying Boat, the Maritime Museum and the Tudor House Museum and Garden. We also took a trip on the Hythe Ferry across Southampton Water to Hythe and rode on the Hythe Pier tramway.
- April Wyn off to Paris for a couple of days with Kirsty via Eurostar.
- May Wyn, Andrew and Richard attended a one day '1st Response' first aid course. This may make you feel more comfortable in our presence, or not, depending on your perception of our competence.
- May Mum and Dad Mac's Golden Wedding Anniversary party at Silvermere, Cobham, Surrey.
- June Wyn, Richard and David spent the long jubilee holiday weekend cruising with Mary, Mick, Judith and Kirsty between Guildford and Weybridge on the River Wey Navigation. The 65ft narrowboat Guildford Marquis was hired from Guildford Boat House, Surrey.
- June Wyn off to Paris via Eurostar for a 'field trip' with students from her French class.
- June David and Richard went to Poole, Dorset and went across to Brownsea Island, the birthplace of the Scout movement. Recommended for a pleasant and peaceful day out.
- July Andrew and Richard went to open days at Exeter and York Universities. Andrew is considering studying for a BSc in Psychology from October 2003 at one of these locations.
- July David took Anneke and Wyn to Legoland, Windsor.
- July Andrew went to the Pyrenees and Aquitaine in France for two weeks for the Venture Scout 'Expo'.
- July Wyn, Richard and David spent another four days narrowboating on the Wey Navigation from Guildford Boat House, Surrey with some friends from the 4th Worcester Park Scouts Parents and Friends fund raising group. This time on the 65ft narrowboat Guildford Duke.
- July David went to Cub Scouts' summer camp at Youlbury, Oxfordshire for a week.
- July While the cat's away... Wyn and Richard sneaked off to South Wales for a couple of days staying on the Gower peninsular.
- August Met up with around 25 of Wyn's family in Northern Ireland. Stayed at North Irish Lodge (recommended) on Islandmagee just north of Belfast, and explored the beautiful coast and countryside including the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Bushmills Distillery and Bangor.
- August Richard went to Switzerland for a long weekend. Flew out to Geneva then travelled via Luzern to Interlaken. Spent two days walking and cycling making use of the local railways, funiculars and gondolas (Brunig Railway Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway Jungfraubahnen Interlaken). Travel back was via Luzern and a flight from Zurich.
- October Back to Sunsail's Galini Club, Levkas, Greece. By coincidence Steven was on the island of Kos, Greece at the same time.
- November Steven and Andrew both passed their driving test.
- November Wyn, Richard and David went to Carnoustie and Edinburgh for the weekend using cheap air fares from EasyJet. Visited the Falkirk Millennium Wheel - worth a visit.
